Bogan Books Fundraising Effort for Team Quinn
On November 11, 2020, at just four years old, little Quinn Soucy was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

At the time, her mom, Morgan, was enrolled in the Nursing program at the University of Maine at Fort Kent. When Quinn got sick, she had to put her education on hold and focus her efforts on caring for Quinn and her little sister.
Childhood cancer is challenging on its own. It's confusing to the child and it requires much strength from the family. The financial burden can add a lot of additional stress to an already difficult situation.
Each year, Bogan Books participates in fundraising for different causes. This year, we decided to help Quinn and her family as much as we can. We have initiated a few different opportunities for people to help support the Soucy family at this time. Please consider helping through one or more of these ways.

DONATION
For the month of August, Bogan Books will be a drop off location for monetary donations for the Soucy family. MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO MORGAN SOUCY. Cash will also be accepted, but please put the money you wish to give in an envelope and make sure you place your name on it so Quinn's family know who provided them with the gift. If you live outside of the immediate area, you can mail your donation to:

BOOK RELIEF
Bogan Books will display FREE BOOKS - outside with weather permitting. These books will be a mix of used books and some that were review copies before they were published. If you would like to, you can donate money when you pick up the books. 100% of these funds will go directly to the Soucy Family.
RAFFLE
We will be selling tickets for a wonderful basket of books and gifts items from Bogan Books. The tickets are $6 each with $5 from each ticket going to the Soucy family. A dollar from each ticket will go toward promotion. There are ways to participate at a distance. Email heidi at boganbooks@gmail.com
KINDNESS ROCKS
As we have done in the past, the week of August 9, we will scatter Kindness Rocks throughout the bookshop. We will be selling these for $6 each with $5 each going to the Soucy Family. $1 from each rock will go toward supplies.
READ-A-THON
Join us in reading books for Quinn! You commit to either reading a number of books or reading for a number of hours. You ask people to sponsor you with monetary pledges and you raise money for Quinn and her family! This is a fun way to help her while enjoying some good books along the way. 100% of proceeds will go to the Soucy family.

Participating is easy!
1.) Contact Miss Heidi at boganbooks@gmail.com to let her know you are interested in participating.
2.) Download the below form - it has the details of collecting money and talking to sponsors, as well as the dates of the Read-A-Thon and the date to turn everything in to Bogan Books.
3.) Ask friends and Family to sponsor you. You can either commit to the amount of books or number of hours you will read for Quinn.
4.) Set reasonable expectations for yourself
5.) As an additional incentive, for every $20 earned for Quinn, earn $2 Bogan Bucks to spend at the bookstore. (up to $50 in Bogan Bucks)
